                                          B.VOC FIRST CONVOCATION PROGAMME The convocation ceremony for the first batch of B.Voc students at Poona College was held on 05th March 2024 marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of 45  graduates.                                                   National Girl Child Day Celebration Under the able guidance of the Principal Prof. Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh, Poona College of arts science and commerce (Bachelor of vocation) conducted activities on the occasion of National Girl Child Day On 24th January 2024   The day was celebrated with enthusiasm at our institution, bringing together 90 students to partake in various activities aimed at fostering a sense of community and empowerment.                                                 Visit to the Kamla Nehru Hospital REPORT: Industrial visit (Kamla Nehru Hospital) National Youth Day, also known as Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, was celebrated on 12th January, 2024 in Kamla Nehru Hospital Organized by a team of doctors in collaboration with Sassoon Govt. hospital, and the program was supported by the Government of India (GoI). It was around seventy students of the B. Voc. (MLT) have participated in this program. Some reputed doctors from local government hospitals were invited to this program, and they offered their voluntary service whole-heartedly.   A large number of medical students, faculty members, patients, and some local NGO volunteers actively participated in the day activity.                             Free Hemoglobin and Blood Pressure check-up camp , Kanhe On 09th January 2024 , the B.Voc M.L.T department of Poona college conducted a Free Hemoglobin and Blood Pressure check-up camp at Chatrapati Shivaji Vidya Mandir & Jr. College Kanhe . The event aimed to provide the local community with access to essential health screenings promoting awareness and protective health management. 8 dedicated students from B.Voc M.L.T actively participated in the camp , demonstrating their commitment to community service and practical application of their skills.                            Visit to National AIDS Research Center Pimpri-Chinchwad On December 1 st & 2nd 2023, a group of 20 students with Ms. Shahin Shaikh and Ms. Farheenshama Shaikh from Poona College visited the AIDS Institute to commemorate World AIDS Day. The purpose of the visit was to raise awareness about disease and engage in educational activities at the institute.   Upon arrival, the students and teachers were greeted by the staff at AIDS Institute, who provided an overview of their mission and the importance of observing World AIDS Day. Voc. - Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) students on 31st OCT., 2023.   Dr. Gawali explained the concept points of basic sciences of Human Physiology which will have to be studied in pursuit of their MLT degree program.
