Free Hemoglobin and Blood Pressure check-up camp , Kanhe


On 09th January 2024 , the B.Voc M.L.T department of Poona college conducted a Free Hemoglobin and Blood Pressure check-up camp at Chatrapati Shivaji Vidya Mandir & Jr. College Kanhe . The event aimed to provide the local community with access to essential health screenings promoting awareness and protective health management. 8 dedicated students from B.Voc M.L.T actively participated in the camp , demonstrating their commitment to community service and practical application of their skills.




Trained students from the department conducted the tests utilizing reliable testing methods , equipment and machines . The hemoglobin results were provided on the very next day while the Blood Pressure levels were revealed on the spot . In addition to the screenings , informative sessions were held to educate participants about the significance of hemoglobin levels , symptoms of anemia and preventive measures. 




The event strengthen the bond between Poona college and Chatrapati Shivaji Vidya Mandir & Jr. College demonstrating the institution’s commitment to promoting health awareness. The success of this Free Health check-up initiative owes to the unwavering support and encouragement of Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Sir. His vision for community engagement and commitment to student-led initiatives have been instrumental in the event’s execution. The faculties of B.Voc M.L.T Ms. Shahin Shaikh and Ms. Farheenshama M Shaikh were actively involved and helped the students to complete the event smoothly.











The Free Hemoglobin and Blood Pressure Check-up camp organized by B.Voc M.L.T department of Poona College exemplifies the institution’s dedication to promoting health awareness and community well-being. Through such endeavors, educational institutions foster a culture of proactive health management while forgoing stronger ties with the local community.

                                                  National Girl Child Day Celebration Under the able guidance of the Principal Prof. Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh, Poona College of arts science and commerce (Bachelor of vocation) conducted activities on the occasion of National Girl Child Day On 24th January 2024   The day was celebrated with enthusiasm at our institution, bringing together 90 students to partake in various activities aimed at fostering a sense of community and empowerment.                                                      Visit to the Jehangir Hospital 2 nd September, 2023: The B.VOC MLT Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized a visit to the Jehangir hospital along with faculty member Ms. Shaheen Shaikh and Ms. Farheenshama Shaikh with a batch of 32 students. The visit started at 11:30 am. At the reception we were guided by the team member of pathology laboratory Mr Sudhir where we introduce our students and divided into a group of 10 students and visited the different departments of hospital. The department includes pathology lab (Haematology, Clinical, Biochemistry, and Immunology), Histopathology, Microbiology and Blood bank. A detailed explanation regarding each department, sample collection, testing was given during the visit. Our first batch of students started from Blood bank. Mrs. Uma explained the information’s about FFP, SDP, and RDP separation also about machine, temperature, and storage of the separated blood bags.
