Visit to National AIDS Research Center Pimpri-Chinchwad
On December 1st & 2nd 2023, a group
of 20 students with Ms. Shahin Shaikh and Ms. Farheenshama Shaikh from Poona
College visited the AIDS Institute to commemorate World AIDS Day.
The purpose of the visit was to raise awareness
about disease and engage in educational activities at the institute.
Upon arrival, the students and teachers were greeted
by the staff at AIDS Institute, who provided an overview of their mission and
the importance of observing World AIDS Day. The institute organized a series of
informative sessions, including machines working, Sample processing prevention,
treatment, and the global impact of the disease.
The students actively participated in interactive
sessions that focused on understanding safe practices. The sessions were
designed to empower the students with accurate information and encourage open
conversations about health.
In addition to educational activities, the visit
included a tour of the institute's facilities, showcasing the various machines.
The students had the opportunity to interact with professionals working in the
field and gain knowledge.
Overall, the
visit to the AIDS Institute was a valuable experience, contributing to the
students' understanding and fostering a sense of responsibility towards
advocating for a healthier society. The program was managed by Ms. Shahin
Shaikh and Ms. Farheenshama Shaikh. And organized by
Dr. Vinod Parde.
