FAREWELL 2023-2024


The B.Voc Medical Laboratory Technology department at Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce bid a heartfelt farewell to its outgoing batch of 2023-2024 under the guidance of Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh and Vice Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh. The celebration commenced with the soulful recitation of the Holy Quran by FY student Zaid Shaikh, setting a serene tone for the event.

Nodal Officer Mr. Farooque Shaikh delivered an inspiring speech, motivating students to pursue higher studies and equipping them with valuable advice for their future endeavors. His words of wisdom and encouragement left a lasting impact on the outgoing batch.

The program then took a glamorous turn with a ramp walk by the farewell girls, accompanied by delightful music. The confidence and poise displayed by the students were truly commendable.

As the program progressed, students shared heartfelt feedback, expressing gratitude to their teachers. Hajra appreciated the teachers' cooperation, support, and tireless efforts, while others fondly remembered Dr. Vinod Parde contributions to the B.Voc lab. Several students took the opportunity to thank all their teachers for their guidance and mentorship.

To add a touch of fun and nostalgia, games like musical chair were organized, filling the students' hearts with joy and refreshment. Laughter and cheer filled the air as students and faculty members alike participated in the activities.


The farewell celebration concluded with the distribution of refreshments among students, followed by a vote of thanks. The occasion was a poignant reminder of the bond shared between the students and faculty, and the memories created during their time at the college.

                                                     Visit to the Jehangir Hospital 2 nd September, 2023: The B.VOC MLT Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized a visit to the Jehangir hospital along with faculty member Ms. Shaheen Shaikh and Ms. Farheenshama Shaikh with a batch of 32 students. The visit started at 11:30 am. At the reception we were guided by the team member of pathology laboratory Mr Sudhir where we introduce our students and divided into a group of 10 students and visited the different departments of hospital. The department includes pathology lab (Haematology, Clinical, Biochemistry, and Immunology), Histopathology, Microbiology and Blood bank.
