FREE HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP AT ZILLA PARISHAD SCHOOL, KANHE

The Department of B.Voc Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) successfully organized a free health check-up camp at Zilla Parishad School, Kanhe. The camp was conducted for students of Classes V, VI, and VII with the aim of promoting health awareness and encouraging early health screening among school children. The services provided included blood group determination and blood pressure measurement. A total of 120 students benefited from the camp.

The Department sincerely acknowledges the valuable guidance and support of the Principal, Dr. Iqbal Shaikh, and the Nodal Officer, Dr. Farooq Shaikh, whose encouragement played a key role in the successful organization of the activity. The program was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Shahin Shaikh, B.Voc staff member, and the diagnostic tests were performed by girl students of the B.Voc MLT program under proper supervision, ensuring accuracy, safety, and hygiene. The cooperation extended by the school authorities and staff greatly contributed to the smooth conduct of the camp.

The health check-up camp was a great opportunity for the students to learn about their health status and for the B.Voc MLT students to gain hands-on experience in conducting diagnostic tests. The students were also educated on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and the need for regular health check-ups. The camp also helped to create awareness about the importance of blood donation and the role of medical laboratory technology in healthcare.

The feedback from the students and teachers was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the efforts of the Department in organizing such a meaningful event. The Department plans to organize more such camps in the future, targeting different age groups and health issues. The success of this camp has motivated the Department to explore more opportunities for community outreach and engagement.

The Department is committed to continuing its efforts in promoting health awareness and providing quality healthcare services to the community. The event was a testament to the Department's commitment to its mission of providing excellent education and training to its students while serving the community.
