 18th January, 2023: One-day Seminar on “ Physician and Dietician Guidance Programme: Awareness of Good Health, Diet and Hygiene “


 The Department of Bachelor of Vocation - Medical Lab Technology (B. Voc. - MLT)  and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) jointly organized the Institutional Level Seminar on “ Physician and Dietician Guidance Programme" and participants from all three years of B. Voc. Software Development, B. Voc. Travel Tourism & Hospitality Management (TTH&M), and B. Voc. Banking Finance Services & Insurance (BFSI).


Renowned and Director of Shatayu Hospital Dr. Vishal Bhandari has delivered a seminar on how to maintain good health in the current situation especially for youth.  He has highlighted that many disease conditions are emerging due to change in the lifestyle of the young generation and how everybody can cope-up with the emerging changes. He has given brief insights to students how they can take precautions against acute and chronic diseases.  Additionally, he has suggested to students that they can voluntarily inculcate their interest in social awareness of dreaded diseases. Famous Dietician Dr. Dhanshree Nahta has briefed important points about daily nutritional requirements among youth especially growing age, girls and pregnant women. She has suggested how to maintain nutritional requirements in our day-to-day life. In the current scenario, many IT field professionals and in-house employees are unable to perform daily exercise and are badly suffering from many nutritional deficiencies. She has given a brief account on diet plan adjustment and transformation processes of patients who are lacking nutrients.

 

Honorable Principal Professor Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh coined and guided for the listening capability and productivity of professionals. Moreover, Sir emphasized on the horizons and strengths of B. Voc Programs and advised students to look for new avenues rather than traditional possibilities.

 

Total 150 students attended this seminar and appreciated the speaker's guidance. The seminar was successfully conducted under the able supervision of  Dr. Shaikh Iqbal, IQAC Coordinator and Vice-Principal (Science),  Mr Farooque Shaikh, Nodal Officer (B. Voc.), Dr. Vinod Parde, Coordinator of B. Voc.  (MLT) and Supported by Dr. Imran Baig Mirza, Coordinator of B. Voc. Software Development (SD) and adequate support  provided by Mr. Muddasar Shaikh.
