Seminar on Research Methodology

The Department of B.Voc Medical Laboratory Technology organized a research methodology lecture for B.Voc MLT students under the guidance of Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh and Vice Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh. The lecture aimed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design and conduct research studies in medical laboratory technology.

 

The program commenced with the blessings of Allah, followed by an introduction of the guest speaker, Dr. Riyasat Peerzade, from the Commerce Department, by Dr. Gazala Pathan. Dr. Riyasat Peerzade has made significant contributions to motivating students at various levels and has delivered numerous lectures on research methodology.

During the lecture, Dr. Riyasat Peerzade provided comprehensive knowledge on writing a research paper, covering topic selection to paper publication. He emphasized the importance of understanding the basics of research, research techniques, and research design. Dr. Peerzade also highlighted the significance of identifying research gaps, formulating research questions, and developing research objectives. Additionally, he discussed the importance of reviewing existing literature, selecting appropriate research methods, and ensuring the validity and reliability of research findings. The lecture was highly interactive, with Dr. Peerzade using examples and case studies to illustrate key concepts and encourage critical thinking.

The lecture covered various aspects of research methodology, including:

Research Design: Dr. Peerzade explained the different types of research designs, including experimental, quasi-experimental, and non-experimental designs.

Data Collection Methods: He discussed various data collection methods, including surveys, interviews, and observations.

Data Analysis Techniques: Dr. Peerzade explained different data analysis techniques, including statistical analysis and content analysis.

A total of 26 students participated in the lecture, actively engaging with the speaker and clarifying their doubts during the question-and-answer session.

The program was anchored by Ms. Farheenshama Shaikh, and a vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Nikhat Hurzuk.

The lecture was a resounding success, and the department expresses gratitude to Dr. Riyasat Peerzade for sharing his expertise.
