Celebrating World Cancer Day (Poster Competition)
The
Department of B.Voc Medical Laboratory Technology observed World Cancer Day
with a poster competition on February 4, 2025, under the guidance of Principal
Dr. Iqbal Shaikh and Vice Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh. The competition aimed to
raise awareness about various types of cancer affecting different body systems,
emphasizing the importance of education and early detection in cancer
prevention.
Students showcased their creativity and knowledge by
creating informative posters highlighting cancers such as cervical cancer,
which affects the reproductive system in females, testicular cancer, which
affects the male reproductive system, lung cancer, which affects the
respiratory system, blood cancer, which affects the circulatory system, and
liver and intestinal cancer, which affects the digestive system. A total of 35
B.Voc students participated in the competition, demonstrating their
understanding of the impact of cancer on human health.
The poster competition served as an effective
platform for students to educate their peers about cancer awareness,
prevention, and early detection, promoting a culture of health and wellness
within the college community. By participating in this event, students
demonstrated their commitment to spreading awareness about cancer and promoting
health education.
