Visit to Diagnostica Span

 The Department of B.Voc Medical Laboratory Technology, organized an educational visit to Diagnostica Span Pathology Laboratory on Thursday 28.Nov.2024, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh. The visit aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and exposure to the latest technologies and techniques in medical laboratory diagnostics.

A total of 26 students, accompanied by 3 staff members, participated in the visit. The group consisted of students from the B.Voc Medical Laboratory Technology program, who were eager to gain practical knowledge and insights into the workings of a pathology laboratory. The students were well-prepared for the visit, having studied the theoretical aspects of medical laboratory diagnostics.

The laboratory staff welcomed us warmly and provided a comprehensive overview of the laboratory's operations. They explained the various procedures and techniques used in sample collection, hematology, biochemistry, and immunology. The staff also demonstrated the use of advanced equipment and technology, such as automated analyzers and microscopes. This hands-on experience provided our students with a deeper understanding of the subject matter and its practical applications.

This visit provided our students with real-world exposure, which will undoubtedly benefit them in their future careers. The success of this visit was made possible by the diligent efforts of Mr. Farooque Shaikh, Nodal Officer, B.VOC department and was successfully coordinated by  Ms. Farheenshama shaikh along with the support of Dr. Gazala Pathan & Ms. Shahin shaikh.

                                                     Visit to the Jehangir Hospital 2 nd September, 2023: The B.VOC MLT Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized a visit to the Jehangir hospital along with faculty member Ms. Shaheen Shaikh and Ms. Farheenshama Shaikh with a batch of 32 students. The visit started at 11:30 am.
